FOR SALE Christina Aguilera's $13.5 Million Pink Palace!

Ever want to live like a diva? Now you can! Chrsitina Aguilera's huge Beverly Hills estate is on the market ... for a cool $13.5 million!I personally love Christina A's taste from head to toe. She probably had an interior designer help her but so what? It is gorgeous in every single space. For that price it definitely sets itself apart from other homes in the area that are in that price range. As I've said many times before, the above 10 million dollar homes can almost be cookie cutter, from the furniture to the architecture. This is unique!

All I can say is that the lucky buyer who gets this must ask Her to leave the furniture. She is gifted in style.

Decked out in pink and red, the 6 bedroom, 9 bathroom pad has a slightly gothic and tantalizing flair -- apropros for someone who starred in a film called "Burlesque," no? -- and features everything a true diva could need ... gym, gift-wrapping room, game room, movie room, and a salon area in the giant walk-in closet.

There's also an adorable children's room where little Max surely had fun, a pool with water slide and grotto spa, a huge outdoor courtyard area and even a guest house with a recording studio! Perfect for laying down some tracks after a long day of judging on "The Voice."

This beautiful abode has been on the market for almost a year, but some new photos were just released to generate interest.  In Real Estate if any property is on the market for longer than a few months, even the high priced ones, the price is just WAAAAYY too High. If I was the agent and I could convince Miss. A to price it to sell I would definitely have it below $10 Million.

 Love this Grotto...Hugh Hefner inspired..

If you are wondering, can I live like this for LESS than $13 Million? YES! You can. Interior-wise there are a lot of great affordable options and if you are willing to compromise on size but not location there are a lot of great properties in Los Angeles, even 90210 that make this statement. Call me or email me for a great list of properties like this one.

PEACE and CALM IN THIS REAL ESTATE MARKET WITH GOOD REPRESENTATION

peace. It means to be in a real estate market where home prices have declined and foreclosures are up. Yet, in spite of being in the midst of those things, you are still calm in your heart knowing that you listed your home or are buying your home with Monica Der (424) 235-0512

LA Opera is Going to have a Fabulous 2012-2013 Line Up in Downtown LA!

(Pic from the ARIA Young Professionals After Party)
Los Angeles Opera will continue its recent scaled-back approach to programming with a new season featuring six productions with 37 total performances -- the same tally as the current season. Among the highlights will be the company premiere of Verdi's early opera "The Two Foscari," starring Plácido Domingo, and a joint recital performance by Renée Fleming and Susan Graham.

Some of the ones I am looking forward to are Don Giovanni with Rodarte designing the costuming and Madame Butterfly. I never saw it before but I was intrigued by the storyline.

Small Price Reductions in the Solair on Wilshire in Koreatown

UNITS AVAILABLE NOW!!! CALL MONICA (424) 235-0512 For Showings

3785 Wilshire, Unit 803, 8th Floor $513,000
3785 Wilshire, Unit 1909, 19th Floor $621,000
3785 Wilshire, Unit 1506, 15th Floor $633,000
3785 Wilshire, Unit 705, 7th Floor $653,000

I love the Solair on Wilshire. I am so glad that the Solair had a slight price reduction recently. I do not know the exact unit locations that have been put up for sale but I can find that information. I have walked the Solair and find that the units all have bedrooms on the small side for the prices that they have, but the views are spectacular as well as the balcony.

It is definitely the place to have "breakfast on the veranda" feel on a Sunday morning. Furthermore, if you are a total stickler for privacy take note that each person can only access their own floor with their key fob. That means if your friend lives on the 5th floor you can't just go knock on their door, they have to buzz you there, even if you are a resident.

If you are looking for a central location to make your new home that is close to Downtown LA and close enough to Beverly Hills and you like the idea of having the train footsteps from your door this place is a bargain. The HOA used to be $800+ but they have slightly reduced it to the $700's. I also think that since they will not negotiate on the price like the Gallery Lofts in Marina Del Rey, you will find me a great asset as I can negotiate other terms of the deal for you like add ons to the interior and one more trick up my sleeve! Call me now to view the units available for sale.

Best Lingerie in LA and Beverly Hills

For anyone who really knows me they know I'm a lingerie freak. My two faves are La Perla in Beverly Hills and AP on Melrose. I loved that Racked LA took the time to really diagnose the addiction by posting the top lingerie lairs in Los Angeles.

#1) Trashy Lingerie - What do Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and Glenn Danzig have in common? They all shop at Trashy. These guys were way ahead of the sexy "fill in the blank" Halloween costume trend. Besides a lavish assortment of underthings, they also have unique party dresses, and they'll even let you custom order gowns and underpinnings, too.

#8) Kiki De Montparnasse - Go here for ultra-feminine, fancy lingerie and sex toys...and for the gorgeous, shady courtyard tucked off the street.

#15) La Perla - What would a lingerie map be without a mention of La Perla? It's beautiful, it's elegant, it's made to last forever and...it's very, very expensive.

Help Save Molly! She has a Screw in Her Tummy!

Help Save Mollie - "I have a WHAT in my tummy?"

Please help Animal Advocates Alliance to save Mollie!

I have a WHAT in my tummy?

Mollie is an 11 year old dog rescued from a lazy, selfish, ignorant man who basically left her in his backyard to die. He claims to love her but look at these photos and ask yourself, how is that possible? How can a human cause an animal so much pain, watch her suffer and wither away to a skeleton and still claim to love her?

Mollie's companion, a young male pit, was so hungry that he wouldn't let Mollie eat. On the rare occasion that food was thrown out for them he would attack her to keep her away from the food. Her head and face are covered in bite wounds and scars and a chunk of her ear is missing! She's so sweet, she never fought back....

Four months ago Mollie, a frail and sick senior dog, gave birth to a litter of puppies because her "owner" never bothered to have her spayed. How could someone let this old, sick dog get pregnant and give birth to puppies?

Kept in a filthy, disgusting backyard her whole life. Garbage, debris and feces everywhere. A small crumbling tool shed was her only shelter. She's never seen grass, never been out for a walk, she's never been for a joyride or a romp at the park. Mollie is covered in sores and calluses from laying her boney body on dirt and concrete her whole life. She's tough to look at.. but she's got a beautiful spirit!

After everything that Mollie has been through you'd think she would be withdrawn, distrustful of humans and emotionally scarred. Not this gal! Mollie is a lovely, outgoing, friendly dog! She wants nothing more than to give you kisses, lay in your lap, get belly rubs and snuggle. She craves love and affection and she graciously gives it in return!

X-rays show that Mollie has a loose SCREW in her stomach! She was so hungry that she ate a screw. If that screw moves it could tear her up inside. Mollie needs a very delicate procedure to remove the screw.

Please help us save Mollie!  No donation is too small.  Click on the PayPal button or mail a check to:

In Wonderland Exhibit at the LACMA is Enchanting

Today I went to the LACMA to experience the In Wonderland exhibit. LA is a place with a lot to offer. I was in an "Artsy Fartsy" mood. Not since Alice lost her way down the rabbit hole have we seen a wonderland so strange and delightful. In the first ever survey of women surrealists in North America, 'In Wonderland' presents women not as 'other' but as otherworldly.

This painting below is my absolute favorite because it was painted by a woman who was left by her husband and it displays the pain and agony she felt. The clock on the bottom right represents her "fleeting youth"
Surrealism was the movement that left reason for the dream, chose symbols and surprises over logic and embraced the sexual and the bizarre. Although the movement is radical in its subject matter, much of its treatment of women has been unfortunately traditional, and the genre is decidedly male-dominated. (One can blame Freud, if one were so inclined.) Though the only female surrealist you might know off the tip of your tongue is Frida Kahlo (perhaps more for her life story than her work), be prepared to be swept up into the wild imaginations of these 47 artists.

In the exhibition, it's possible that women could play it even odder than the hallowed Men of Surrealism. We see breasts served on a platter, severed baby heads, a fuzzy sofa made of ripped torsos ... The collection is not just surrealism by females, but female surrealism. The 175 piece exhibition will show how gender and geography affected the surrealism movement as a whole, and how our perception of the genre should widen to encompass it.

Diane von Furstenberg’s Fashionable Manhattan Penthouse

The architects of WORKac build the designer and philanthropist an unconventional live/work space next to the High Line—the city oasis she helped create

One of the great luxuries of life is a getaway that keeps clamor and chaos at a distance. Fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg’s live/work space in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District—a glass-and-steel aerie the occupant calls her “tree house”—appears to be just that. But the isolation of the lofty perch is deceiving. Just beyond its transparent walls the city’s icons, old and new, shout for attention: to the northeast the majestic Empire State Building, and to the west the High Line, a mile-and-a-half-long park built atop abandoned elevated train tracks and of which Von Furstenberg was an early champion. And all around is an edgy, effervescent quarter exuding equal parts glamour and grit.

I absolutely LOVE the view. Too bad we can't find these kind of views in LA. If you like this view maybe you might want to purchase a live work loft in Downtown Los Angeles. Call me if you would like me to show you some of the top ones in the City. (424) 235-0512 - Monica

The Hotel Bel-Air's Second Act: The World Famous Luxe Hotel Reopens with Flair!

After an extensive two-year renovation, the famed Los Angeles retreat debuts a glamorous new look, courtesy of designers Alexandra Champalimaud and David Rockwell

Despite an extensive top-to-bottom renovation, the famous pink stucco façade and Spanish Colonial–style architecture of the 66-year-old hotel remain the same

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds Finally List Their Eco-Friendly Modern Los Angeles Home

After purchasing a gorgeous Buff & Hensman home in August 2010, then-couple Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson extensively renovated this 1969-era modern gem, adding eco-friendly features including solar panels to the Los Feliz home. After that, as we well know, the couple sadly parted ways, leaving this gorgeous home in real estate limbo.
Now, the home has popped up on the market, listed by Annie Challis of Keller Williams. With extensive glass walls, a saltwater pool, a private master suite, and a beautiful flow throughout the home, which is known as the Wong House, it's a definite catch. The photos here were taken before the renovations were complete, but they still offer a clear picture of the house's many charms.

Monica's Comments: It's no wonder that these two broke up after purchasing this house. The design is completely uninspiring in that it feels so bland. This is not a sexy house and ScarJo and Ry Ry are very sexy people. Think about getting your freak on in a bedroom like this?
This says I'm spending the weekend at my parents house. But enough about the unsexyness of the house. This house is still a tranquil and ideal luxury palace for the Vegan Hippie in all of us. I would say the house has a great kitchen for the gourmet chef enthusiast.

I'm just not digging the curb appeal though. I think this house could use an update from the outside. Don't you think?
